Visa credit cards

When people speak of credit cards the one that comes to mind first is most likely to be a Visa credit card. The grand-daddy of credit cards, this venerable card is like having gold in your wallet. Visa is accepted in over 150 countries worldwide and can be used in some of the remotest regions of the globe. The Visa credit card is one of the most recognizable company brands on the planet along side Coca Cola and McDonald’s. The reach of the Visa credit card is a testament to the staying power of credit and the big shift that has occurred in our economy from one that was based on cash purchases to a credit based one. Visa credit cards used to be a one size fits all kind of card but today there are Visa credit cards to suit every need, personality and lifestyle. There are also different ranges in the exclusivity of a card ranging from the regular Visa credit card to the Visa Gold and the Visa Platinum. Each Visa credit card is accepted in the same places, the difference is in the credit limits and the perks attached to each one. The classic Visa credit card is a basic no frills card that is perfect for small credit limits and first time credit card users. The Visa Gold and Platinum cards come with $5, 000 minimum credit limits and offer a wide range of membership privileges ranging from insurance coverage to collision/loss damages. Owning a Visa credit card also comes with a certain measure of prestige and denotes that you are part of an exclusive club – although that club is worldwide with membership now in the millions!
